The high school youth traveled to Manderson, South Dakota in 2010. The mission was to do work and learn about the people of the Lakota Tribe. Manderson is located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The 8 youth and 5 adults built a new deck, painted a mobile home and did various other jobs. The group also visited cultural displays, schools, and listened to Lakota speakers. The group was also treated to a bus ride to feed the buffalo up close and personal! Each afternoon it was playtime with the Lakota children at the park.
